Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
EPM takes data privacy seriously. If you would like to see, correct or delete any information we hold about you, email jonas@epm-music.com and we will deal with it promptly, and always within one month.
WHO WE ARE
This website, www.epm-music.com (the “Site”), is run by EPM Music (“EPM”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information collected through the Site. You can reach us by email at jonas@epm-music.com or by post at any of our offices:
EPM Music NL, P.O. Box 208, 6200 AE Maastricht, The Netherlands
EPM Music UK, PO Box 208, London W7 3BY, United Kingdom
EPM Music USA, P.O. Box 281405, Nashville, TN 37228, United States
This policy covers the Site only. Our distribution portal at lms.epm-music.com, where labels apply and log in, is a separate system.
WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY
When you contact us. If you use our contact form, we receive your first and last name, email address, subject and message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps you have asked for before entering into an agreement with us.
Newsletter. If you sign up to our newsletter, we receive your first name, last name and email address and use them only to send you news and updates from EPM. We send a confirmation email first, and you are only added to the list once you confirm. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by emailing jonas@epm-music.com. We keep your details until you unsubscribe. Our mailing list is run by Mailchimp, which stores your details on our behalf. Mailchimp’s privacy policy: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/
Spam protection. Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that the message is being sent by a person and not an automated program. To do this, Google receives technical information such as your IP address and how you interact with the page. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
When you browse the Site. The Site is hosted by Squarespace. When you visit, Squarespace automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view, the website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This keeps the Site secure and working, and gives us statistics about how many people visit and which pages they view. We do not use this information to identify you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding how it is used. Squarespace’s privacy policy: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy
Music players. Some pages include players from Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud so you can listen without leaving the Site. When a page with a player loads, your browser connects directly to that service, which receives your IP address and browser information and may set its own cookies. These services decide how they use this information under their own privacy policies:
• • • Spotify: https://www.spotify.com/legal/privacy-policy/
• • • Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
• • • SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/pages/privacy
Other services. Some of the Site’s animation code is loaded from jsDelivr, a public content delivery network, which receives your IP address when your browser requests the files. Our links to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, SoundCloud and Facebook only share information with those platforms if you click them.
COOKIES
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. The Site uses these:
crumb (Squarespace): keeps our forms secure by blocking forged requests. Strictly necessary. Deleted when you close your browser.
ss_cvr (Squarespace): recognises returning visitors for our visitor statistics. Lasts up to 2 years.
ss_cvt (Squarespace): counts the pages viewed during a visit for our visitor statistics. Lasts 30 minutes.
Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud may set their own cookies when a page with their player loads (Spotify, for example, sets cookies called sp_t and sp_landing). Their privacy policies, linked above, explain what these do and how long they last.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the crumb cookie may stop the contact form from working. For more about cookies and how to manage them, visit https://www.allaboutcookies.org
WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing or advertising. The only third parties that receive it are the service providers named above, and authorities where the law requires it, for example in response to a court order.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some of these providers, including Squarespace, Google and Mailchimp, are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside the European Economic Area and the UK. Where this happens, it is protected by safeguards recognised under EU and UK data protection law, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep messages you send us only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Cookie lifetimes are listed above.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under data protection law, including the GDPR in the EU and the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
access the personal information we hold about you
have it corrected if it is wrong
have it deleted
restrict or object to how we use it
receive a copy of it in a portable format
withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email jonas@epm-music.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands (https://www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK (https://ico.org.uk), or the authority in the country where you live.
SECURITY
The Site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy when the Site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
