TRACKLISTING:

1. SLEW - ORIGINAL

2. SLEW - DJ WOOL MIX

3. SLEW - JAIMIE FANATIC'S AMSTERDAM MIX

4. SLEW - REBREATHER MIX

‘Slew’ marks the first release by Das Shadow on new Berlin-based label, We Collect Enemies, launched by Andrew Phillpott (Depeche Mode), Glen Brady (The Glass, Plant Music, Awesome Agency) and Daryl Bamonte (Depeche Mode, The Cure).  The single also features remixes from Jaimie Fanatic, DJ Wool and Tobias Enhus.

Das Shadow is a band project created by Andrew Phillpott, which began when? he remixed tracks from artists like Dave Gahan, Yazoo and Veto.  His first single and video of ‘Navigate The Menus’ appeared online at the end of 2008 to great acclaim and was released on iTunes through Zycos/Sony in the summer of 2009.

Here’s how Brady describes the ‘Slew’ mixes : “The original mix of ‘Slew’ kicks off like liquid sci-fi for the eardrums, strikingly analogue in a digital world.  Watch out for the epic video coming soon.

DJ Wool hits back with a remix that is equal parts Scandinavian techno and Detroit crispiness taking us in a whole new direction for Twenty10, while Jaimie Fanatic’s Amsterdam Mix comes on like a youthful Van Helden raised on French electro and hipster steroids.  Finally Tobias Enhus’s Rebreather Mix takes us to the bubbly analogue cinema we need to chill in after such a rawkus remix package!”

Look out for future WCE releases from Broad Bean Band and DJ Wool.
