Von Spar is an artist collective from Germany consisting of Sebastian Blume, Jan Philipp Janzen, Phillip Tielsch and Christopher Marquez.  The Cologne-Berlin quartet serves up a veritable ear-worm taken from their third album ‘Foreigner’, which will be released at the end of May 2010 on Italic Recordings.

The four deliver a rousing anthem  in ‘trOOps’, enriched with a krauty disco groove and soulful close-harmony vocals for all of those late-night culture-vultures, oddballs and mother-in-laws' nightmares propping up the bars at the discotheques of this world.  As an encore to the dangerously addictive original, there are two magical Prince Language remixes and a super-casual Rebolledo edit to boot.

Prince Language has earned his status as the current Disco King of New York through his numerous remixes for LCD Soundsystem, MGMT or The Rapture.  He transforms Von Spar’s song into two different mind-expanding cocktails, providing the perfect soundtrack for any summertime after-hour party.

Rebolledo 's reinterpretation requires black leather costumes, big sunglasses, and an especially cool dance style.  The Mexican injects the track with dry, pounding beats and a cool 1980s atmosphere, so that those unapproachable types can finally carry the torch out onto the dance floor once again.

This is music for moving nights, where Balearic lightness makes you forget the holes in your wallet.
