Following on from the massively received ‘Ex Ex Ex’ single, In Flagranti take a break from the dancefloor with this atmospheric balearic tune featuring, once again, the languid vocals of Natalie Smash.  Cheap drum machine sounds and a cardboard box percussive groove are layered with arpeggiated synth drops and a dreamy vocal.

In Flagranti’s Sasha Crnobrnja said “We were inspired by early cosmic songs we used to listen to, tracks that were a little more odd, and also less disco.”

Remixes come from Moskow, Clap Rules, Baldelli & Dionigi and Deadstock 33.  Here’s what Sasha had to say…

Moskow: “As ‘Nightmoves’, Matt Waites' remixes have been on playlists of DJs the world over, namely The Glimmers, Tim Sweeney and Erol Alkan.  Matt also records as Moskow, a new, deeper guise which has seen a return to the love of house music and given him the opportunity to experiment.  We have already collaborated together on the Electric Fling Vol. 1, where he did a mix, with Nadia Ksaiba under their alias G&S.  This mix is more on a club tip, and would fit into any nu disco set.”

Clap Rules: “Clap Rules is the new pseudonym of Fabrizio Mammarella, Andrea Gabriele and Max Leggieri.  I met Fabrizio when I played in Rio in 2008, and I think he is one of the most exciting emerging producers around right now.  Their work includes the debut EP ‘Old Sequencer’ on Tiny Sticks (record of the year for Disco Delicious, record of the month for Piccadilly), following the ‘Buio Omega’ release out on Dissident Distribution and a remix for Michoacan on DFA.  This mix is super slow but with a very clean, big sound. It feels really fresh.”

Daniele Baldelli & Dionigi: “It's a real privilege to have legendary DJ (and one of our heroes) Daniele Baldelli on this remix package.  We have been listening to his mixtapes since the early 80s - he needs no introduction.  Their mix reminds us of minimal new wave / electronic music from 1980.”

Deadstock 33: “Justin Robertson approached us a while ago to do a project together and this was the right opportunity.  His remix is the most weird and off kilter of the 4 with a kind of 90s tone, it surprised us - which we liked.”
